I was reading this morning in Joshua the story about Israel crossing the Jordan to go to the Promised Land. There are lots of things about this story that are amazing and interesting like, God stopped the river from flowing so they could cross, it’s the same river Jesus was baptized in, and it’s 156 miles long and leads to the Dead Sea. All fun facts.
But my favorite part of the story is the Rock Towers.
God has 1 man from each of the 12 tribes grab a stone on the way through and place it on the other side of the river after they cross as a reminder that God brought them through it. The last few verses of Chapter 4 are my favorite:
Let me start out by saying this… Renovating our home while living in it was rough. Seriously you guys, it was torture. Trying to confine my kids to our back three bedrooms was pretty intense. The kids were troopers and stayed happy through almost all of it, but there was a point close to the end when Ava started asking when we would get our house back. Sad.
So talking logistics now, I’ve had some people ask how we navigated through the whole thing and I wanted to share with you some of our great ideas and some of our not so great ideas. We last left you with pictures of our concrete pour, up next: framing, roofing, and insulating…
I have had so many of my friends and family ask me about this Crazy Wrap Business that I’ve been sharing about that I thought now would be a good time to share my story of how I started working from home!
In December of 2014 I saw one of my very best friends posting pictures about this Crazy Wrap Thing and how it can tighten up your belly. She kept mentioning that she was earning an income from home while doing it.
It’s Super Bowl Sunday you guys, one of the top 5 greatest eating days of the year! But what to do when you are uninterested in all the standard Football food?? Wings. Chili. Nachos. Hot Dogs. Onion Dip. Wait, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean Dip. Dip is my favorite. But man can not live on Dip
As the renovation continues so must the rest of our life. Although, if I am being honest, it has begun to feel like the only life we live revolves around our renovation. So, I am trying to focus my thoughts on other things and today I focused on the awesome deal I got when I bought organic chicken.
You guys! We are pouring the concrete tomorrow!!! This renovation is really happening, and we are so excited. We’ve had a crew working here the past week getting everything ready for the pour and the last thing we needed was in inspection, which we passed today. Hey-O!
Daniel and I were called out to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness… We accepted. We also wanted to donate to the foundation. Here’s our video: Here is a great article explaining ALS and how some people from the community feel about the Ice Bucket Challenge. You can also donate Here.
My heart has been craving more worship, more Jesus, more relationship with him… So I’ve been listening to worship music constantly and Daniel and I have been playing more just trying to quench this crazy need for more Jesus. Well, It’s unquenchable my friends. Hallelujah! I want to share a song that has been hitting
If you would have told me before starting this renovation that it would take me well over 20 hours to research, price compare, and purchase my bathroom fixtures I would have called you a big fat liar! Holy cow, you guys… It was exhausting!
We officially submitted a variance request to the city last week in hopes that they will approve our permit for the addition. Now we have to wait for them to review it and we hope to hear back from them by the end of July. In the mean time, we were itching to start work, so, we decided to remodel our master bathroom. YAY!
